RENFREWSHIRE COUNCIL HOSTING A CIVIC RECEPTION

Renfrewshire Council ae hoting a Civic Reception for rGirlguiding Renfrewshire to celebrate our Centenary Year.

This event is to be held on Sunday, 3 October 2010 in the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew.  It is a lunch (glass of wine inclusive) at 1 pm.   Numbers ae resticted to 100 so unfortunately not everyone who wishes to attend will be able to.

As Inverclyde Council are hosting a Civic Reception for Greenock Division, only Guiders on the County Executive will be invited to the Glynyhill.  This will give the other three Divisions a few more places.

Anyone wishing to attend this Reception should email their Division Commissioner and copy in Elspeth Little (littled@ntlworld.com).  You will be notified if you have been successful in gaining a place.


DOORS OPEN DAY IN EDINBURGH - HAVE A LOOK AROUND SCOTTISH HQ


Come and take a look inside with Girlguiding Scotland and Edinburgh Doors Open Day on 25th or 26th September 2010. This is an opportunity for visitors to see behind the scenes as Girlguiding celebrates its Centenary year. 16 Coates Crescent is home to Girlguiding Scotland. Originally built around 1813 by Edinburgh builder, William Elliot, the building retains many of the fine features of a Georgian home.
 
Guided tours will take place throughout the day, each lasting around 45 minutes.
 
Places must be booked in advance as spaces are limited.
