Registrations
Firstly, thank you to all Leaders who have sent me forms throughout the year, especially to everyone who helped to complete this, the last, paper census. I hope it will be easier with Streamline.
There are 3598 members in Renfrewshire this year:
Commissioners 28 Rangers who are also Young Leaders 13
Leaders 413 Young Leaders 123
Unit Helpers 22 Rangers 20
Other members with roll 21 Guides 971
Other members without roll 5 B Brownies 1420
Rainbows 562
There are also 48 Unit Helpers who are not members and 21 Occasional Helpers.
In the County, there are 43 Rainbow Units, 74 Brownie Units, 50 Guide Units, 7 Senior Section Units, 4 Division, 21 District and one Friends of Guiding Group.
Cardonald District split into two – Cardonald North and Cardonald South.
Numbers on waiting lists are:
Rainbows 41; Brownies 91; Guides 45
If only more Leaders could be recruited, these girls could join the Guiding Family and benefit from the activities this would provide.
Two new Units were registered this year – 3rd Cardonald Rainbow and 2nd Bridge of Weir Brownies.
83 pre-warrant Young Leaders and Leaders and 31 warrants have been registered.
Congratulations to all the Leaders who received Long Service Awards – 36 5-year; 19 10-year;
14 20-year; 4 30-year; and 3 40-year. It was great shock and honour for me to be presented
with a 50-year Award by Dinah Faults, Scottish Chief Commissioner.
Please continue to send names of those eligible for Long Service Awards to Winifred. All other registrations go directly on to Streamline.
